• Representation of requirements repository
• Functional and physical modelling
• Design of control strategies : guidance, stabilization, energy management
• Verification and Validation

Behavior Modelling and Simulation

Sherpa Engineering performs studies of modelling and simulation for design, sizing and validation of systems and their control by estimation of their performance in their environmental and operational context.
• Ship Modelling
• Propulsion System Modelling and control
• Electrical and Electronic Systems
• Steering Systems and Guidance

Sherpa Engineering uses a library of polymorphic components and multiphysics super elements (PhiSim) in Simulink, allowing it to assemble complex physical models. These models include mechanical, electrical, thermal, thermofluids domain .

Library components modelled
This library is used for editing and simulation of dynamic models of systems with global representation of actuators, physical system, sensors, control and environment.

The model is used to develop and validate strategies and optimal control laws in the various phases of the lifecycle.

The Commissioning aided by simulation

Supporting the various phases of the lifecycle of the installation of safer ships. Energy management, audit and revenue, monitoring of energy performance

Energy management and regulation

The Sherpa Engineering skills covering the entire development chain of management systems and control :

• Specification and optimization strategies for energy management
• Design of sensors, actuators and technological equipments
• Specification of control laws : filtering, degraded mode, operative and actuators control
• Human man Interface design, control and display real-time PC

By choosing the type of control most appropriate for the application, Sherpa Engineering meets the needs of performance, stability and robustness.
