Sherpa Green Building Activities

SHERPA ENGINEERING is involved in automation activities in the building sector.

Our expertise in modeling and control allows us to conduct research projects approved by ADEME and supported by the competitiveness cluster CAPENERGIES.

An impact is expected to develop an adaptive steering system of the building, to significantly reduce the building's energy consumption while guaranteeing them the visual comfort.

Sherpa promotes energy saving and comfort.

SHERPA ACTIVITIES

The 3 axes of transverse skills mastered by Sherpa Engineering in the design of control systems are :
- The Modeling and Simulation
- The model-predictive control and Energy management
- The Electronics and Computer Science Industrial

Sherpa takes an active part in projects approved by the clusters, the specification of innovative systems to validation on laboratory then prototype and in real time operation. Through better use of optical and thermal- energy management, our activities are part of a sustainable development approach, while ensuring :
- An optimal allocation of natural light for better visual comfort
- Control the flow of heat for better thermal comfort

Better management of heating, air conditioning and artificial lighting for energy savings

Modelling and Simulation
Sherpa Engineering performs studies of modelling and simulation for design, sizing and validation of systems and their control by accurately estimating their level of operational performance in their environmental context.

Sherpa Engineering sells a library of polymorphic components and multiphysics super elements (PhiSim) in Simulink, allowing it to assemble complex physical models.

These models include elements of optical and thermal transfer such as tube light, venetian blinds, lighting, heating, air conditioning and motorized ventilation.

This library is used for editing and simulation of overall dynamic models including the representation of actuators, the physical system, sensors, and control environment.

The model is used to develop and validate control strategies and optimal flight control laws at different phases of development cycle.

The Commissioning by simulation
Supporting the various phases of the lifecycle of the facility.
Energy management, audit and receipt, monitoring the energy performance.

Supervision and Energy control
The Sherpa Engineering skills cover the entire development chain of energy management and control :

  • Specification and design of sensors, actuators
  • Specification of control laws : filtering, degraded mode, preparation of setpoints of opto-thermal actuators and controls
  • - Interface design supervision, control and real-time display on PC

By choosing the most appropriate control for the application (open or closed loop regulation, model-predictive control, neural network or fuzzy logic, etc..) Sherpa Engineering meets the needs of performance, stability and robustness

and Thermal
According to life situations, a preliminary
identification of the powers leads to a comprehensive understanding of the system and its interactions with the outside.

Management and Control for Optics

The Electronics and Computer Science

Sherpa Engineering is heavily involved in the design and validation of hardware architectures including food, packaging of sensors, computer, power interface, HMI and communication (serial, USB, CAN, RF and Zigbee).

The development tools Rapid Prototyping (RP) allows us to test the strategies,. By this means the software can be optimized and pre-calibrated
